What we do

Everyone needs a home, yet the experience of renting - whether you're a tenant or a landlord - is terrible. Average person loses months of productivity on rental search. Landlords waste billions on commissions every year.

For this generation, housing is one of the most pressing problems. It is urgent to solve it.

Uprent is an AI agent for rental home search. Tenants find homes auto-magically. Landlords rent out homes in days (soon - hours, then - minutes), with 10x lower fees, and no agents.

Our goal is to unf*ck rental search experience globally (globally - meaning, in every country in the Western world). Whether it's through software, hardware, or building homes.

What will you do

You will be involved in pretty much everything, working (mostly) directly with the CEO on tasks like:

• Product
• Marketing: Communities, SEO, influencers, etc.
• Hiring: Vacancies, sorting candidates, interviews, legal, etc.
• Fundraising: Sourcing investors, reaching out, etc.
• Finance: Keeping books clean, creating P&L, balance sheet, etc.
• General: All the other stuff that will appear every week, incl. anything related to the office or team

We're looking for

We're looking for a rare combination: someone who is both technical and human.

You should be able to write a killer email, or convince someone of something over a call.

You should also be able to connect two APIs, query a database, or build a simple internal app full-stack.

Some qualities we're looking for:

• Generalist
• You create order around you and can't stand chaos
• Fast, iterative
• Dutch language (not a requirement, but highly valued)
• We particularly love ex-founders (unsuccessful), though this is absolutely not required

You should be based in the Netherlands, Germany, or Belgium. If you're in the Netherlands, we don't care where you live - in Amsterdam, Zeeland, Limburg or a Frysk village. We will figure it out. If you're in Belgium or Germany, we expect you to relocate to the Netherlands. We will assist in relocation and help find an affordable home.

Working culture

Both Yury and Alex have been building startups for years with zero breaks. We only hire people with engineering backgrounds, so our team culture is pure software geekery. We believe most problems are best solved through engineering - whether it's product, leadgen, fundraising, or accounting.

We are currently doubling our team from 3 to 6 people over the next two months:

• CEO
• CTO + 3 engineers
• Founder's Associate / BizOps

Offer & perks

We'll pay you between €30,000 and €48,000 a year + between 0.1% and 1% in equity.

Future:

Right now, we pay what we can. Obviously, as we hit revenue milestones or secure new funding, we plan to raise compensation. The real value, though, is in the equity, provided it will grow exponentially.

Visa:

We are able to sponsor your visa, but only if you meet the reduced salary criterion for highly-skilled migrants.
