What we do
Everyone needs a home, yet the experience of renting - whether you're a tenant or a landlord - is terrible. Average person loses months of productivity on rental search. Landlords waste billions on commissions every year.
For this generation, housing is one of the most pressing problems. It is urgent to solve it.
Uprent is an AI agent for rental home search. Tenants find homes auto-magically. Landlords rent out homes in days (soon - hours, then - minutes), with 10x lower fees, and no agents.
Our goal is to unf*ck rental search experience globally (globally - meaning, in every country in the Western world). Whether it's through software, hardware, or building homes.
We're looking for
- Full-stack engineer, with a passion for frontend

- You build features end-to-end, with love and care
- Any age, sex, skin, location. Please, apply whether you're in Europe, or outside of it; in Amsterdam, or in a small Frysk village. We will figure it out
- We particularly love ex-founders (unsuccessful), though this is absolutely not required
What will you do
Your one and only mission is to ship high-quality code at extreme velocity.
We eliminate all bureaucracy so you can focus purely on building.
You will own features end-to-end.
Your ideas, however crazy or absurd, will be heard.
Tech stack
Out stack is modern and sometimes experimental. This is because we are Developer Experience nerds. You probably won't be familiar with all of these yet, and that’s okay! They’re intuitive to learn, so you’ll get up to speed quickly and enjoy working with them.

Working culture
Both Yury and Alex have been building startups for years with zero breaks. We only hire people with engineering backgrounds, so our team culture is pure software geekery. We believe most problems are best solved through engineering - whether it's product, leadgen, fundraising, or accounting.
We are currently doubling our team from 3 to 6 people over the next two months:

Offer & perks
We'll pay you between €48,000 and €54,000 a year + between 0.1% and 2.5% in equity. Sometimes, we can be flexible on the payment.
You’re not just an engineer — you’re a Founding Engineer. You’ll get actual equity. This is as close as you can get to starting a company without taking on ‘founder risks'.

Future:
Right now, we pay what we can. Obviously, as we hit revenue milestones or secure new funding, we plan to raise compensation. The real value, though, is in the equity, provided it will grow exponentially.
